Ariana Grande and Big Sean split in April this year, and the "Problem" singer said that it wasn't as hard as she thought it would be.

In an interview with V Magazine, she said that her positive outlook also helped her cope from the breakup with Big Sean.

"I'm good at making the best out of something. It also wasn't that hard for me, because we were friends. So it's chill," she said.

When asked if she has some breakup advice, however, Ariana Grande demurred.

"I'm not going to pretend I have great breakup advice," she said. "It's hard. Good luck. You'll be fine. You don't need anyone. It's nice to have someone that makes you happy, but it's nice to be happy on your own as well."

She went on to add, "You don't need to depend on another person for your happiness. That person can contribute to your happiness, but you're two whole beings on your own You can make each other glow, like you just ran through one of those rainbow stars in Mario Brothers, but you're still completely capable, sufficient, and beautiful, and can be happy on your own. That's my breakup advice!"

Since her split from Big Sean, Ariana Grande was linked to several men like Niall Horan, Ricky Alvarez and Justin Bieber.

All the rumors regarding her personal life prompted Ariana Grande to write a long essay on Instagram about people needing to back off.

"I meant what I said about not being Sean's ex is that I am tired of living in a world where women are mostly referred to as a man's past, present or future property or possession," she wrote. "I do not belong to anyone but myself and neither do you."

"I want people reading this to know that they are MORE THAN enough on their own," Ariana Grande added. "I want the media to please help me with this!!!!!! Please support each other. I'm saying this after literally 8 years of feeling like I had to have a boy by my side. After being on my own for a few months I am realizing that that's just not the case."
