Some of Becky G's fans can't help but still connect Austin Mahone to her social media posts. A week ago, many of the "Empire" star's followers argued if the quote she posted was meant for her ex-boyfriend.

Over at Instagram, the "Empire" star posted a quote about holding on and getting over someone.

"You want to come in my life, the door is open," the quote read. "You want to get out of my life, the door is open. Don't stand at the door, you're blocking the traffic."

She left it without any caption but some of her fans were quick to wonder if she was referring to her "Dirty Work" singer ex-boyfriend. It was not clear if the "Empire" star replied to the queries or has addressed that issue it caused. It was not clear as well if the quote meant she was letting go of someone or is still open to getting back with them.

But other fans were also quick to defend her and say that quote did not refer to the "Dirty Work" singer at all. Several of her followers commended her too for her current outlook about her life after her recent breakup.

The Becky G Austin Mahone relationship ended just last month but the pair has remained friends after splitting.

"We thought it was just kinda best if we just chill for a second, but we're still super close," Mahone told Entertainment Tonight after their split. "We're close friends."

The "Dirty Work" singer even hinted that they might do some music together.

Although none of the pair has spoken if they're back in the dating scene, Austin Mahone has been rumored to be flirting with Brie Angelina as told by SugarScape. He also has spoken to Hollywood Life and dished about the traits that he's looking for in a girl. Becky G, in the meantime, has recently gotten some flowers from a "Descendants" dancer as reported by J-14.
