CJ E&M recently confirmed the date and location for the 2015 Mnet Asian Music Awards, an event which is commonly referred to as MAMA. MAMA will be held on December 2 at Asia-World Expo.

2015 will mark the launch of week-long programming that will be held prior to the star-studded awards ceremony. Fans who travel to MAMA will have the opportunity to participate in various events and programs, which will culminate with the evening of world class pop, hip-hop, and rock.

"We are pleased to announce the fourth coming of 2015 MAMA to the geographic hub of Hong Kong and to celebrate its biggest expansion with pre-week activities, " said Mnet Executive Vice President, Hyung Kwan Shin.

MAMA premiered in 1999 under the banner, Mnet KM Music Festival. Over its run, the awards show has expanded into one of the most prominent music events in Asia.

In 2014, performances included EXO, G-Dragon, Taeyang and Seo Taji along with American R&B star, John Legend.

EXO was the recipient of the Artist of the Year and Best Male Group Awards. Their critically-acclaimed album, "Overdose," garnered Album of the Year honors. Their performance ushered in a new age for the group, as they transitioned from the departures of Kris and Luhan.

Taeyang received the Song of the Year award for "Eyes, Nose, Lips." He was joined by G-Dragon for a special performance of "Good Boy" and "Fantastic Baby."

WINNER was chosen as the Best New Artist. WINNER delivered a thrilling stage with actress Yoo In Ah and Epik High.
