SM Entertainment To Take Action Against Ticket Scalping For Jonghyun, Taeyeon And Kyuhyun's Solo Concerts

SM Entertainment will not tolerate ticket scalping.

With the anticipation running high for Girls' Generation member Taeyeon's upcoming solo concert in October and November, reports of tickets being sold at a considerable mark up are running high. The singer's record label, SM Entertainment, in retaliation, has announced they will take legal action against ticket scalpers.

After Taeyeon's upcoming solo concert series sold out rapidly on Sept. 23, some resale sites showed tickets going for nearly $600 USD. On September 25, SM Entertainment responded to the price gouging in a statement saying they will take legal action against scalpers looking to profit off selling seats to desperate fans.

"We are taking steps to reduce the damages to consumers,” SM wrote on the statement, as reported by Soompi. The company also insisted that they will cancel tickets they verify to have been illegally bought and sold.

SM noted they are keeping a close eye on tickets for Taeyeon's performances as well as for upcoming concerts from SHINee's Jonghyun and Super Junior's Kyuhyun.

Jonghyun, Taeyeon, and Kyuhyun will all perform as part of SM Entertainment's new concert series brand The Agit. All concerts will take place at the SM Town Theater located in the COEX Atium.

SHINee's Jonghyun is the first artist of the concert series. His concert will be titled The Story by Jonghyun, and will be held Oct. 2-4 and Oct. 8-11.

Taeyeon's Very Special Day is scheduled for Oct. 23-25 and Oct. 31-Nov. 1.

Lastly, Super Junior's Kyuhyun will hold his solo concert, Fall Again, Nov. 6-8 and Nov. 13-15.
