NBA Trade Rumors: Latest On Phoenix Suns’ Markieff Morris And T-Wolves’ Ricky Rubio

The NBA trade rumors are beginning to slow down a bit as teams are now gearing up for the upcoming season.

But, to address the biggest NBA trade rumors that surfaced this off-season, Markieff Morris will now stay as a Sun for the meantime as the Phoenix Suns weren't able to find a trade partner for him.

Speaking with Yahoo Sports, Morris told reporters that he wants to be in Phoenix and is excited to re-join his teammates.

''I want to be here," Morris said. ''I don't really want to talk about what happened this summer. I just really want to look forward to this up and coming season and glad to be back with my teammates, glad to be back with my team.''

However, when Morris was asked if he and GM Ryan McDonough were able to patch things up, he said, ''you can ask him that, man."

Ryan McDonough spoke with reporters as well and he said that he is only doing his job to improve the team.

''He's certainly not the first and probably won't be the last player to be upset with the front office,'' McDonough said. ''It happens. I view my job first and foremost to put the most talent on the floor if we can and to give coach and his staff a group of players that work hard and play hard and have a chance to win a lot of games. If that ruffles some feathers, so be it.''

Meanwhile, the frontrunner to this off-season's NBA trade rumors, Ricky Rubio is confirmed to be not on the trading block per GM Milt Newton.

''We're not talking to anybody about trading Ricky,'' Newton told The AP via Yahoo Sports. ''We expect Ricky to be an integral part of our team this season. We expect him to be here come training camp and leading our team.''

''He's one of the best facilitators in the NBA,'' Newton said. ''We've got a young team of guys that are athletic, that are going to get up and down. And we're going to utilize those talents that they have."
