Demi Lovato has experienced another loss. After her pet buddy died last July, now her grandfather has passed away.

As reported by MTV, the singer took to social media to express how much she's saddened by another heartbreak for the family.

"My two favorite Buddy's are now playing in Heaven," she posted on Instagram. "My heart is absolutely broken and I can't even begin to imagine a world without my Papa but I know one day we'll meet again and that's what keeps me going.

I hate writing this," she added. "But RIP Papa... I miss you so much already. I love you. Please keep my Mimaw in your prayers."

Fans immediately sent their condolences to the singer. They also told her to "stay strong."

About seven weeks ago, Lovato also posted a tribute on Instagram of her grandfather lying in bed and holding hands with her grandmother.

"How precious is this???" she wrote on the picture. "Mimaw (my 93 year old great-grandmother and Papa (my 88 year old great-grandfather) holding hands and still so in love... It's so beautiful... Married over 50 years and he STILL looks at her this way."

It was only in July when Demi Lovato suffered her first loss when her pet Buddy died in a tragic accident.

"We are absolutely heartbroken to be writing this but Wilmer and I are devastated to inform you that we lost our little angel Buddy last Sunday," Lovato said in July as quoted by Us Weekly. "He was taken from us way too soon in a tragic accident and though I will never know why this had to happen, I do know that God only puts us through situations that we can handle so with that, together we our staying strong.

"We have incredible people around us and so much love and support which is holding us up in this time of need," she added then. "Buddy was loved by so many people and as small as he was, he made a huge impact in our lives. He truly was human in a way and we were so blessed to have him in our lives."

She did not specify what happened but TMZ found out that Buddy was attacked by a coyote and it was apparently the singer who found the dog's remains. Recently, Demi Lovato introduced a new pet on social media that she named Batman.
