BTS Describe Their Creative Process And Reveal Their Love For Fans In The U.S. [EXCLUSIVE]

BTS (Bangtan Boys) are a driving force in shaping the current sound of Korean pop, through their incorporation of sophisticated artistry and hard-driving rap flow. In 2015, the seven-member group embarked on a successful world tour in support of their third EP, "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Part 1." KpopStarz sat down with Rap Monster, Jin, Suga, Jimin, J-Hope, V and Jungkook during their recent tour, 2015 BTS Live Trilogy In USA: The Red Bullet for an interview where they discussed their creative process and dedication to international fans.

KpopStarz: Is there anything different you noticed while performing in the US versus performing in Korea?

Suga: We have not really performed too much in the U.S., but we really enjoyed KCON last year. We were extremely happy to see the U.S. fans showing us so much support despite the distance (between Korea and the U.S.). We appreciate the love that the fans show us, which is the same everywhere, but it was great to see them passionately cheering us on.

KpopStarz: What was your inspiration for the songs written in “The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Part 1?”

Rap Monster: We watched movies, animation, and some inspiration came from experience. It came from everything. It’s hard to pinpoint just one thing.

KpopStarz: What is your favorite song to perform and why?

All Members: Dope! (With J-Hope, in the background repeating Dope! Dope! Dope!)

Suga: It’s so much fun on stage.

Rap Monster: Because it’s dope.

Jungkook: It’s really a lot of fun.

Jin: It’s fun when we perform it at a concert.

Suga: The audience has a lot of fun with this song, too.

KpopStarz: How do you feel about the Hallyu Wave gaining a wider audience outside of Korea?

Jin:  We are just so thankful. Although, we don't get to go overseas as often or have continuous activities out here like we do in Korea, the fans still show us a lot of love. So, we are just really thankful for that.

KpopStarz: How would you describe your music to those who haven’t heard it before?

J-Hope:  Our songs really speak about our lives, so that’s what we would want to appeal to our listeners.

KpopStarz: What is a normal day like for BTS?

Jin:  We usually get ready in the morning, go to the broadcasting station for any schedule, eat dinner, and head over to our practice studio. We practice together first, then some members will work on songwriting, and others continue practicing. After all this, we go to sleep and wake up for a new day of schedules.

KpopStarz: Are any of your songs written from personal experience?

Rap Monster:  Almost 80 percent of our songs are from personal experience.

KpopStarz: BTS' songs are very influential, like "Dope," "No More Dream," and "N.O." What is one piece of advice that BTS would pass onto aspiring youth?

Rap Monster: Just live, don't die. Of course, meaning, live life to the fullest and in the present.

KpopStarz: The song that should play when I enter the room is...

Suga: Songs that are super fun and upbeat.

Jungkook:  I have one.

Jimin: To Jungkook- Don't you listen to a lot of soulful music?

Jungkook: Yes, I do. It would be a song that is emotional and full of soul.

Rap Monster: (Jokingly) There are always IU songs playing because of Jungkook.

J. Hope:  Tori Kelly?

V: Paper Hearts?

Jungkook:  No, it's the Eels, "I Need Some Sleep."
