Singer Kim JangHoon revealed that he sent MC Mong on a trip to the United States because he was worried that MC Mong was severely depressed. 

Kim JangHoon wrote on his mini homepage that he sent his "dear friend MC Mong on a trip to United States with another good friend because I was afraid that he may die" and "as you may have read on the news, Mong is basically a dead person right now but I'm afraid that he may actually die…he hasn't gone out in an year shutting himself in his house and workshop. He can't deal with the public criticism."  He also shared his opinion about MC Mong that he "believes that he suffers severely from depression and anxiety. Honestly, it would be more surprising if he didn't. I've been through the same ordeal so I sent him away in case he gets worse." 

Kim JangHoon also explained the reason celebrities suffer emotional pain. He said "celebrities are judged on a different scale. The way people feel about us is more important than the law. Even if we're guilty of a crime, we can still go on the stage if the public believes we're innocent. But once the public thinks you're guilty, it doesn't matter what the truth is."    

MC Mong had recently been sentenced to 6 months in jail and 120 hours in community service under the offense of faking physical incapabilities to be exempt from the army.
