On October 5, 2NE1's Minzy (Gong Minji) announced that she recently opened a dance academy, whose primary objective is aiding aspiring trainees with developing the skills necessary to flourish in Korean entertainment. 

Minzy posted photos on her Instagram (@_minz_mz) and Twitter accounts (@mingkk21) to share her exciting news. 

"I'm at my Millenium Dance Academy," said Minzy, in the caption of her Instagram message. 

According to a report published by EDaily, the Seoul-based studio known as Millenium Dance Academy will function independently from entities owned by YG Entertainment. 

As a member of 2NE1, Minzy received positive attention for her polished dance moves. 

"I wanted to dance like people in the music videos I watched as a child," said Minzy, in a previous interview quoted by EDaily. 

The release of details surrounding her dance studio followed a report published by MyDaily, which included a statement by YG Entertainment's Yang Hyun Suk, who confirmed a promotional hiatus for 2NE1, as Park Bom continues to observe a period of personal reflection.  

"[I'm] not planning 2NE1's new song, yet," said Yang Hyun Suk, in an interview published by MyDaily. Park Bom needs time for reflection." 

In addition,Yang confirmed that 2NE1 would face their expiration of their group contract, in 2016. 

His acknowledgement of the suspension of group activities and contract news, follows increased individual promotions by CL (Chaerin Lee) and Dara (Sandara Park).

CL continues to prepare for her official U.S. debut which was preempted by the release of the trap single, "Doctor Pepper." 

Dara has been heavily involved in acting. She recently completed the web dramas "Dr. Ian" and "We Broke Up." Her next projects include the 2016 film, "Echo" and the KBS web drama, "Missing Korea." 

Dara is also entering the Korean variety show sector, with Korean outlets announcing her addition to "Searching for Sugar Man," as a fixed emcee opposite Yoo Jae Suk. 

Meanwhile, Minzy continues to develop and strengthen her dance moves. Her work with Millenium Dance Academy will also future generations to gain the skills necessary to become top K-pop stars, as she imparts the wisdom she continues to gain through 2NE1.
