New York Knicks News: Kristaps Porzingis Too Good To Be Labeled As Bust

The New York Knicks can expect growth from their young stars this season while their veterans stay committed in their effort to rebuild the team to a winning squad once again.

Eyes will be on Latvian rookie Kristaps Porzingis as he tries to remove the label of bust instilled to him by fans. However, not everyone believes that is true as Kurt Rambis even said that the rookie has the making of a future Dirk Nowitzki and Pau Gasol.

"He might be a combination of both of them because he can do so many things," said Rambis via Real GM. "You guys haven't seen it yet and probably all of it won't come out for three, four, five years either. He's got to grow up, mature, develop, get stronger, get used to the NBA game."

He said that the young stud is too smart and has really good basketball fundamentals to become a bust. He rarely turns the ball over and he makes great decision inside the court.

"He already understands basketball. He already knows what to do. He's an unselfish ball player. He makes really good decisions. It wasn't like he's a blank slate coming in here. He knows how to play. He's going to be fun to work with."

Meanwhile, the leader of the team is happy with the team's progression and when he was asked whether he will want to be traded, he said no. Also, he was one of the biggest doubters when the Knicks drafted Porzingis but now, he believes that as they go along, the team will only get better.

"I think the further I get along, the better it will be," Anthony said per Marc Berman of the New York Post. "Though I'm cleared to play and had no setbacks, I'm still continuing to rehab every day. It was a good test for me to get through the two-a-days."
