iKON Reportedly Cause 30 Fans To Faint At Recent Performance

If you're from an older generation you may remember the videos of fans fainting from excitement at seeing Michael Jackson or the Beatles.

I suppose those fans' dedication can only be rivaled by the excitement of K-pop fans.

According to reports, iKON caused several fans to faint at their performance at the Jamsil Stadium. Thirty of the waiting fans are said to have fainted with one fan being taken to the hospital after the arrival of the paramedics.

iKON's immense fame despite this being their official debut as an artist is perhaps no surprise to their label CEO Yang Hyun Suk. Yang recently expressed that the scale of their release is proportional to the effort they put into the album.

"It's because they've put in all their effort into creating music this past while. Especially in the case of iKON, they have the experience of losing in a survival show, so they're a group who has experienced pain. The company put a lot of care into their official debut," said Yang (via Allkpop).

The fainting incident at their first concert is also no surprise when you consider the wild success that iKON has had since their official debut. According to Soompi, iKON won their second week on SBS music show "Inkigayo" with performances of their songs "My Type" and "Rhythm Ta." Meanwhile, the group topped 11 international iTunes charts after their release of their half-album "Welcome Back."

If you're concerned that the fame is going to their head, group member B.I released a humble statement after their second win on "Inkigayo."

"Thank you very much. It's our first time out here. Thank you so much for this big award," said B.I (via Soompi).

iKON will release their full debut album on Nov. 2.
