Lee Jong Suk Is Latest Hallyu Star To Receive Wax Figure At Madame Tussauds Hong Kong

Lee Jong Suk will be immortalized through a wax figure that fans can visit at Madame Tussauds in Hong Kong.

On October 6, Chinese media reports described the addition of the "Pinocchio" star, as the latest Korean celebrity to be featured at the Hong Kong museum. An article published by the Korean outlet, Xsports News, was shared by Wellmade Yedang, confirming his participation in the project.

"Photos from the production of Lee Jong Suk's wax figure at Madame Tussauds in Hong Kong, have been revealed," said the writer for Xsports News, quoting the unnamed Chinese media source that broke the story.

The behind-the-scenes shots depict the 26-year-old model-turned-actor in a bright pink blazer, which offsets his trademark red hair.

The process of creating the molds for the figure spanned seven hours. Extensive body measurements were taken, including sizing of his head and eyes.

Representatives for the esteemed wax museum spoke positively about their work with the actor and his patience during the lengthy process.

"Despite the approximately seven-hour long hours of physically measuring him, he pleasantly talked with staff from the United Kingdom," said a spokesperson for Madame Tussauds. "He was very professional and impressive. The bright pink suit stands out and expresses his charms, well."

The wax figure of Lee Jong Suk will be unveiled in 2016. He will join other prominent Hallyu actors, who are currently featured at Madame Tussauds in Hong Kong, including Lee Min Ho and Kim Soo Hyun.
