iKON Set Sights On Japanese Market With Offical Debut, Fan Meetings Before February Arena Tour

It feels like YG Entertainment's new boy group iKON is everywhere these days. Since its release on October first, iKON's debut half album has topped charts in 11 countries, dominating iTunes in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Peru, and Panama among others. Their warm up single "My Type" saw similar success as well, only showing that iKON is a force to be reckoned with.

Not only are the boys of iKON taking over the world digitally but they're set to make their physically presence known everywhere too. On October 6 it was revealed that iKON will be making their Japanese debut hardly three months after their South Korean debut. According to a report by AllKpop, YG Entertainment announced iKON's Japanese debut album for January. After the album, the group will head out on an arena tour for February. Additionally, iKON is set to meet over 200,000 Japanese fans through various fan meetings before their official Japanese debut.

iKON's debut has taken the K-pop loving world by storm. Fans have been waiting for the group since YG Entertainment's 2013 competition-reality show Who Is Next: WIN. Unfortunately, after their loss as Team B the trainees were shuffled into another competition program for 2014. Though iKON's debut has been come with controversy, the excitement for them still runs high.

They will be releasing their full debut album in South Korea on November 1.
