Norman Reedus Teases ‘Walking Dead' Surprise, Admits He Was Drunk When He Was Discovered!

"Walking Dead" fans are in for something big at the Madison Square Garden premiere of the series, according to Norman Reedus himself. During his guesting on "Then Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon," he teased about the surprise but clammed up when pressed for further details.

"I'm doing a sort of stunt, which has never happened there before," he revealed in the show.

"I think they'd kill me," he added when asked for some details.

In the same "The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon" interview, he also shared how he was discovered as an actor after he fought with the boss and got fired.

"A friend of mine took me out to a party that night and I drank way too much and started yelling at a bunch of people and then somebody approached me and asked me to be on a play," he exclaimed.

Norman Reedus said the play did not really become a hit but he did not give up on acting until he finally got his break with the "Walking Dead."

In an interview with Imagista last month, he also shared the same funny tale on how he was discovered. He also spoke about how he was inexperienced in acting at first but got inspired to be better by his idols and colleagues.

"I've been fortunate to work with good people off the bat," he explained. "And I've learned a lot from them. Case in point: I learned a lot from watching Willem Dafoe early on. Also, Alan Rickman, I learned a lot from him. I also had really good directors-like Guillermo (del Toro). He became a friend of mine. And watching him work is just infectious. He's got the coolest attitude towards the work."
