Emma Watson Tired Of Defending Feminism He For She, Actress Turns To ‘Black Women’ Bosses

Emma Watson is trying to do some good in this world, but people are super skeptical of her feminism as well as He For She campaign. The actress even had to turn to her "black women" bosses so that she doesn't lose all credential.

According to Belfast Telegraph, Emma Watson just had enough when a fan asked her whether she was a "white feminist" during a Twitter Q&A.

The actress answered, "I've been thinking about it a lot. White feminist implies an exclusion of black women from the movement which I find surprising because my bosses (and the people who gave me the job) are two black women."

Her reply got even more curt towards the end. She continued, "It implies that I am not aware of my own privilege but I mention my own luck/good fortune/privilege something like 5 times in my UN speech and my wish to make sure other women have access to the same opportunities that I have."

This question may have made Emma Watson even more short tempered because her most recent speech related to her feminism movement "He For She" backfired. She claimed that some men are better at supporting feminism than women, a rather touchy thing to say.

According to Mirror, she said that "Some of the best feminists I have encountered are men, like Steve Chbosky who directed me in The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and director James Ponsoldt who I am working with at the moment [on The Circle]. Some women can be incredibly prejudiced against other women!"

But seeing how the actress spearheaded a Twitter campaign called "He For She", it's not totally surprising that she would think that some men are better at this than some women.

Just recovering from an emotional breakup with Matthew Janney, Emma Watson may want something else to turn her attention towards.

According to Daily Mail, "She started work on Tom Hanks' new movie, The Circle, this week. And Emma Watson seemed to be in her element as she mooched about on the film's set in Los Angeles on Friday. The 25-year-old star appeared to be holding her lines in her hand as she familiarised herself with her surroundings while flashing a big cheesy grin."

Emma Watson is determined to become a serious movie actress, which means that she needs to get that Oscar nomination soon. She certainly has been clocking in the hours on set by signing onto project after project.
