G-Friend Members To Film 'One Fine Day' Reality Show In The Philippines

Girl group G-Friend will be flying to the sunny isles of the Philippines to film episodes for MBC Music's "One Fine Day," reports Allkpop.

The girls will be spending four days filming the reality show in the province of Cebu, with the episodes scheduled to broadcast starting in November.

"One Fine Day," features Korean pop idols performing a variety of simple tasks and interacting with each other. G-Friend will be the eighth idol group to appear on the show.

In September, girl group Girl's Day also appeared on "One Fine Day," where they ate meals and brought laughter to viewers by showing their surprisingly large appetite.

G-Friend's appearance on the variety show seeks to help the group gain more fans as they look to build on their rising rookie status.

In August, the girl group contended with other older acts such as BEAST as a first-place candidate on a network music show, and their new album, FLOWER BUD, shot up domestic music charts. They also gained admiration all over the world after a video showing members falling during a performance but valiantly getting back up went viral.

But with increased popularity also comes more intense scrutiny. In late September, G-Friend member Yerin was caught in a controversy after online commenters called her out for doodling on a fan gift. Critics claimed she was disrespectful for drawing on what was a relatively expensive plushie gift that had been brought from Japan.
