Ryu Hye Young On Getting In Touch With The '80s For Her 'Reply 1988' Character

Actress Ryu Hye Young looked ready to meet expectations in the October issue of Marie Claire as she discusses her most recent TV project, Reply 1988.

The beauty modeled immensely simple looks for a windy day that included ribbed turtlenecks, skinny jeans and glossy pumps. Amongst her affordable wardrobe pieces there was a tie-neck cotton shirt by COS. The shirt has a very loose fit and a single pocket on the chest. It can be yours HERE.

During the interview, the star talked about the upcoming tvN drama Reply 1988. She stated, "On the one hand, it [the media and public attention] is a burden. A lot of people are expecting a big drama. I'm also concerned about the image of my character. But I'm glad to have such a three-dimensional role. The atmosphere changes often and the drama is full of rich emotions."

The actress also admitted that she worried about being able to connect with her character and story, since she was born in the 1990s. She explained, "I was born in 1991 and I wondered how I would sympathize and understand the story. But as I read through all the scenarios, I understood the warm family atmosphere and the story transcended the era."

In other fashion news, Ryu united with her drama co-star Go Kyung Pyo for a retro couple photoshoot featured in the September issue of Cosmopolitan.
