Amir Khan Vs. Manny Pacquiao Officially Off The Table; Pac-Man Still Hopeful For Floyd Mayweather Rematch?

Talks on potential fight between Manny Pacquiao and Amir Khan are officially off as the British boxer has lost his patience on waiting for Pacquiao to sign the contract.

According to ABS-CBN news, Khan has grown frustrated on Pacquiao's camp, who continuously stalls the contract negotiations. According to Khan, he believes that Pacquiao is actually waiting for Floyd Mayweather Jr. to come out of retirement and give him a rematch.

"I don't really know if Mayweather is fighting Pacquiao again. It is a possible reason for him to stall on signing the contract, but I don't really know," he said.

Khan treats Pacquiao not only as a sparring partner, but they have also grown to become friends being under the same trainer Freddie Roach.

"I'm really disappointed in Manny and his team. They aren't playing ball. All that was left to do is to sign the contract. But they are stalling."

With that, he officially calls the negotiations off and team Pacquiao just have to find a new opponent next year.

"I have pulled out of the negotiatioans. I am no longer fighting Manny Pacquiao."

Just a few weeks ago, Khan is optimistic that the fight is actually happening as he told he told Agence France-Presse that there's a 75 percent chance for the fight to happen.

"I think 75 percent," Khan previously said. "I think this could happen."

He also believes that there is a huge chance he will defeat Pacquiao which is why they are stalling.

"They know I am a tricky fight for him and they know I will beat him," he claimed. "Or else, why pull out of a fight when there is a lot of money on the table?"

Asked on who could be his next potential opponent, Khan said it could be a rematch with undefeated boxer Danny Garcia. Other options are Tim Bradley, Lamont Peterson and Kell Brook.

"We are looking at a Danny Garcia rematch. I also would like to fight Tim Bradley; that's another interesting fight. A rematch with Lamont Peterson and, of course, Kell Brook is also another option."
