MTV Movie Awards 2013: Emma Watson Accepts Trailblazer Award, Says 'Amazing Things Happen' When You Pour Your Heart In What You Do

Emma Watson accepts this year's Trailblazer Award at the MTV Movie Awards 2013. In her speech at the MTV Movie Awards 2013, she thanked her supporters for allowing her to become the actress that she is. She said that "if you pour your heart in what you believe in, even it makes you vulnerable, amazing things can and it will happen."

While accepting her award at the MTV Movie Awards 2013, Emma Watson also alluded to her hair back in the first Harry Potter film, saying, that looking back at her work for the past 14 years, many things come to mind, first is "how bad my hair was in the first Harry Potter film."

Eddie Redmayne, one of the presenters of the award, describes the awardee as "irritatingly elegant and talented." Logan Learman, who has starred with Emma in two films, describes her as "genuine, kind and hardworking actor" and takes her role with "fearlessness and enthusiasm." Jonah Hill, who sent a video message to honor Emma humorously said that he and the actress will star in the film adaptation of the "50 Shades of Grey."

Watson was first seen on the big screen when she was 11-years-old, playing the precocious wizard Hermione Granger in "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone." She has been on the film seven sequels later and the world and millions of Harry Potter fans has seen her graduate from Hogwarts and participate in increasingly mature roles in films like “My Week With Marilyn” and “The Perks of Being a Wallflower.”

At “Perks of Being a Wallflower,” Watson played high school senior Sam. The role has earned her three Movie Awards nominations this year including Best Performance, Best Kiss (with co-star Logan Lerman) and Best Musical Moment (with Lerman and Ezra Miller).

Watson’s next movie is Sofia Coppola’s “The Bling Ring” and Darren Aronofsky’s “Noah,” co-starring Lerman.

The networks’ Trailblazer Award honors best-in-class young actors who are actively carving out their own unique and diverse path in the film industry.

The Trailblazer Award debuted last year with another Emma, Emma Stone as the first recipient of the award.
