Psy 'Gentleman' Ready to Take Over the Global Music Industry Once More

International singer Psy completed his preparation for his attempt at his second global take over.

On April 12, Psy's brand new song "Gentleman" was released in 119 different nations worldwide. After 9 months since Psy released his global hit, "Gangnam Style" and became an overnight celebrity, he is back for more international action.

Yesterday, April 13, Psy held his concert "Happening" at the World Cup Stadium in Seoul. During the press conference before his concert, Psy began the interview by saying, "It's been a very long time since the last time I've said hello." For nine long months, Psy could only be seen through videos on YouTube or on television but this day, Psy was back in Korea to speak to over 300 reporters and photographers in person.

Regarding the concert "Happening", Psy stated, "This concert feels like a celebration for the success of 'Gangnam Style' and a recital for the release of his new song."

Psy was accompanied by his international manager Scooter Braun during the press conference. Scooter Braun explained that he and Psy have become close ever since "Gangnam Style" became a global hit. He also mentioned that he wanted to watch the concert in person to witness music lovers of various backgrounds coming together to support Psy and the barrier being broken down by music that becomes a method of communication.

Psy revealed during the interview that regardless of how "Gentleman" turns out, he has a hidden card for his fans worldwide.

Then, Psy explained that his main goal is to make music that people want to listen to because his ultimate goal it so make people happy from listening to his music. Psy stated, "I get happy from watching other people happy. I am a writer who strives to create music that the people like."

Psy continued, "The intriguing thing about music is that it is unpredictable. You never know until you open the door. There are a lot of mixed feelings about my new song 'Gentleman' but I have been a singer for the past 12 years of my life. As a result, it doesn't matter whether one song or two becomes a hit overseas. I got lucky and landed on the global spotlight. Instead of devoting all of my energy and time into maintaining this global fame, I plan to continue following my instincts and preferences. If the result is what the people wanted, then I will be able to continue my promotional activities overseas."
