SHINee's Jonghyun Wants To Tell A Story With His Music

SHINee's Jonghyun mixed his blonde locks with a Beyond Closet leopard jacket in the November issue of Allure. The artist had a fun guitar-playing photoshoot filled with Saint Laurent leather pants and Givenchy shoes.

During his interview, Jonghyun was asked the theme of his latest album Story Op. 1. He explained, "I think singers are like storytellers. You need to tell a story in a way your listener can imagine and empathize. No matter where you hear a song, the listener gets a surge of emotion with the narrator's great music."

"The color of SHINee is distinct," he added, "but I needed this collaboration to create a song that honored my uniqueness as a singer. So the album is my own personal story."

The star also revealed he's a homebody. He stated, "In my house, the lights are dim. The interior and walls are dark. The mind calms easily."

Jonghyun also took a moment to explain his album cover, which had some fans confused. The album picture is of two hands touching with their index fingers and many listeners thought the image was a reference to the painting The Creation of Adam by Michelangelo.

Jonghyun cleared, "The jacket picture is of two hands doing sign language that says 'you and me.' There's a song in the album of the same name."

In other news, SHINee recently had had their first concert in Thailand as part of their SHINee World IV tour.
