Adele News Update: Singer Spills Details On New Album '25' Including Release Date?

A lot of rumors has swirled in the past months about Adele's follow-up album to "21" but now the singer herself has given a news update about the much-awaited "25" minus the most important detail -- its release date.

In a letter she posted on her social media accounts, the "Rolling In The Deep" singer confirmed the incessant rumors that her album will be called "25." She also revealed what the inspiration was behind her very guarded album.

"25 is about getting to know who I've become without realizing," she posted on Facebook.

"Turning 25 was a turning point for me, slap bang in the middle of my twenties," the "Rolling In The Deep" singer explained further. "Teetering on the edge of being an old adolescent and a fully-fledged adult, I made the decision to go into becoming who I'm going to be forever without a removal van full of my old junk."

As cited by Billboard, Adele also said in her music news update that "25" won't be about heartbreaks but more along the lanes of seeking closure.

"My last record was a break-up record and if I had to label this one I would call it a make-up record," the "Rolling In The Deep" singer explained. "I'm making up with myself. I'm making up for lost time."

She also apologized that the new album "took long" citing that "life happened." Yet, she still remained mum on when the album would finally be released.

After the long wait though, the "Rolling In The Deep" singer has been on a roll with teasing her already excited fans. Just a few days ago, she apparently teased her first single off the new album with a TV commercial in the UK as reported by People.

A news update on Page Six also claimed that Adele already had a set of TV appearances underway to promote the new album on shows such as "Saturday Night Live" and "Today." Neither her camp nor the shows' team confirmed the rumors.
