Liam Hemsworth may be over his Miley Cyrus heartbreak thanks to Maika Monroe. Some insiders revealed that the Australian actor has finally moved on to the delight on his family.

In an item on OK! magazine, it was mentioned that the Australian actor has been quite a "hermit" until his "Independence Day: Resurgence co-star" entered the scene.

"The Hemsworth family have been desperate for Liam to find love again," the insider told the source above. "After Miley, he really did turn into a bit of a dating hermit."

"Now he's hooked up with Maika, Chris has informed his curious parents that she's a winner and she's showing him how to smile again," the insider also said. "Everyone's very excited about this romance, but no one more than Liam and Maika. They're falling madly in love!"

The Liam Hemsworth Maika Monroe dating rumors first surfaced back in July. As reported by Us Weekly then, the "Independece Day: Resurgence" co-stars were spotted "making out" at one party.

"They're not official," a source explained back then. "But their chemistry is ridiculous!"

They were also pictured at that time hanging out for some refreshments in California.

Although neither Liam Hemsworth nor Maika Monroe have addressed the rumors linking them, the actor has recently spoken about how difficult it was to have a relationship with him flying all over the world most of the time.

"Yeah, dating's really difficult," he told Men's Fitness. I'm constantly traveling, and I don't go out to clubs or anything like that."

"It's tough to have a relationship in this industry, though not to the point where it makes me depressed," he added. "I'm constantly working, and I love working."

Just a few days ago, Hemsworth was back on the red carpet to keep up with his busy schedule. He attended the premiere of his new movie "The Dressmaker," as reported by People magazine, with his brother Chris Hemsworth and parents, Craig and Leonie.
