Click-B Are 'Reborn' With All 7 Members For 1st Music Video In 13 Years

One veteran idol group has re-entered the spotlight in a big way.

Seven-member K-pop boy band Click-B reunited and returned with a brand new single, their first in well over a decade.

On Tuesday, Oct. 20, Click-B revealed the music video for their new single "Reborn" through DSP Media's official YouTube channel. "Reborn" marks the group's first release with all seven members in 13 years and is contained on the single album of the same name along with a second track "I Miss You."

True to form, Click-B's newest release is passionate and catchy, a delightful treat for fans who have waited a long time to hear from the band. However, "Reborn" also serves as a way for the group to test the waters for a full-scale return to the music scene.

"We don't have a precise plan as to whether this will be a one-time thing or whether it will continue," member Kim Sang Hyuk told Yonhap News. "But we want to receive as much positive feedback and attention as possible. We want to lay the groundwork for what could possibly become a lifelong activity."

Along with the single release, the whole band - Woo Yun Suk, Kim Tae Hyung, Oh Jong Hyuk, Kim Sang Hyuk, Ha Hyun Gon, Yoo Ho Suk, and No Min Hyuk - will reunite on stage Nov. 20 at the Coex Auditorium in Seoul for a concert titled 7-3=7. According to Click-B's record label DSP Media, tickets for the show sold out within two minutes of going on sale.

Click-B are just the latest in a long string of older pop stars making high profile comebacks. Recent months have seen hit singles from the group's contemporaries like Shinhwa and Fly to the Sky.

"We weren't influenced by [the other groups]. Our comeback has nothing to do with theirs," explained Oh Jong Hyuk. "The most decisive factor that led to our comeback was our performance at the DSP Festival [in 2013], which provided us with an opportunity to discuss concrete plans to return."

But with 13 years behind them since Click-B performed as a full ensemble, one might think they'd be worried about the competition from younger acts, but that's not the case according to No Min Hyuk.

"We don't feel like there's a competition," he said. "We're playing in a different league [than the younger groups]. It's an honor for us to return to our fans who've been waiting for so long."

But that doesn't mean creating a fresh sound hasn't been difficult. "A lot of songs these days contain electronic sounds, but our identity has been that of a pop rock band that plays real instruments," Oh said. "It's been difficult because we don't want to continue playing instruments and sound old. But we also don't want to just follow the trends and lose our unique sound."

"We're basically back to square one," added Kim Tae Hyung. "Even if our comeback isn't hugely successful, we won't give up easily."

Click-B first debuted in 1999 with the album Volume 1 - Click-B.
