‘Jurassic World 2’ 2018 Director Reveals How Bryce Dallas Howard's Character Claire Will Differ

Bryce Dallas Howard's "Jurassic World 2" character, Claire, will look a little different when the sequel premieres in 2018. Director Colin Trevorrow explains what will change for Claire in a text to Howard.

Few who were in tune with the buzz surrounding "Jurassic World" missed the chattering about Bryce Dallas Howard's character running through an amusement park filled with dinosaurs in nude heels.

"It stood out to them because it stood out to me, too," she told Collider in an interview. "It was crazy!"

"[The controversy] was something I didn't expect at all because I sort of just from a perspective I was like of course it's illogical for her to be in heels in the jungle. She never intended to go in the jungle, and if she was in flats that would be a cheat," she explained.

"Jurassic World 2" director Trevorrow took to Twitter to address the controversy, and revealed how Howard's character Claire will differ in the sequel.

When he broke the news to Howard that there would be a "Jurassic World 2," he texted her, "#NoHeels2018."

Howard admitted to Collider that she was proud of herself for filming in those infamous pumps, a pair of 3.5-inch Sam Edelman pumps.

"Honestly, I trained for running in heels as if I was in the Olympics," she said at the time. "This is a life and death situation here. I better be sorted."

"Jurassic World 2" will premiere in theaters July 22, 2018.
