Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner might not be dating after all as told in the latest news and rumors about the former "Twilight" co-stars.

In an item on Celeb Dirty Laundry, it was mentioned that the pair getting together may just be a publicity stunt to hype their careers or their "Twilight" popularity even more. The report also cited that the Jacob Black actor has been linked as well to "Pretty Little Liars" star Ashely Benson amid all these.

The speculation surfaced just days after a report from Woman's Day Australia revealed that the Bella Swan actress was purported falling for the Jacob Black actor. The gossip item also said that former co-stars have been "exceptionally close and flirty" since they graced the premiere of "American Ultra" in August.

As told in the entertainment news website Just Jared back then, Kristen Stewart took Taylor Lautner at the "American Ultra" affair to the delight of their fans. Although the pair has spent some time together in January for a Sam Smith concert, the red carpet reappearance together was a first since "Breaking Dawn Part 2."

This is not the first time that the Bella Swan actor has been involved in a rumor that involved her career. Earlier this month, it was also claimed that she might be reuniting with Robert Pattinson for a new project.

"Both have had little to no career success since they split," a source told Naughty Gossip. "Now agents for both of them are looking for a project for them to star in together."

A Gossip Cop report insisted though that the rumor was "seemingly fictitious" and even pointed out that both actors have had several projects following their "Twilight" success.

Amid all the news and rumors, Kristen Stewart has kept mum. On Sunday as reported by X17, she even ignored questions about who she was dating when she was spotted at the Los Angeles Airport. Lautner, on the other hand, has told Express in September that Stewart is one of his closest friends.
