SM Entertainment Artists To Interact With Fans Through Online Halloween Wonderland Event

Some lucky fans will be able to attend a Halloween Wonderland created by one of South Korea's top entertainment agencies.

On Monday, SM Entertainment's official SMTOWN Facebook page announced the virtual Wonderland masquerade party. Fans can sign up for the event and interact with their favorite SM Entertainment artists during the masquerade.

The Wonderland Masquerade will be open to 400 fans via the Vyrl app.

"SMTown Wonderland Masquerade Party, the mysterious lands that opens only once a year," explained the Facebook page. "There are 400 lucky keys that can enter these lands. Become the fortunate owner of a key by visiting Vyrl. Vyrl awaits you."

Social networking sites that enable K-pop fans to interact directly with their favorite K-pop idols have become popular as an increasing amount of Korean stars join sites like Instagram and Twitter. Naver's V app also enables celebrities to create live streams.

Vyrl takes Naver's V app a step further, by aiding fans with automatic translation so that K-pop fans who don't speak Korean will be able to communicate with their favorite stars.

Vyrl is currently in beta mode, but fans can still go to the website and apply to join SMTOWN's Wonderland event.

Last year, SM Entertainment held a Halloween party that numerous top K-pop idols attended. It is unclear whether a similar event will be broadcasted live through Vyrl.
