TWICE Are Candid About Their Aspirations, Struggles And Impressions In Recent Elle Interview

JYP Entertainment girl group TWICE had a girls night out in the latest issue of Elle.

According to the magazine, "The nine members united and retained their distinct personalities while showing their charm as a group. With their bright and healthy glow, the group had a fandom before their official debut."

During the interview, the members were candid about their aspirations, training struggles and first impressions of each other.

Momo recalled her time in the Mnet reality show and singing competition Sixteen. She stated, "I was eliminated once on Sixteen. I was sad, I thought, what do I do now? So I was really surprised when producer Park Jin Young added my name to the ones who passed in the end. It feels like I'm walking in a dream. I think he looked kindly on how I worked hard, only clinging to the hopes of debut. My goal is to become someone like Rain or Lee Hyori."

Meanwhile, Tzuyu recalled her initial language barrier problems.

She revealed, "Things were difficult because I arrived [from Taiwan] knowing practically no Korean. I was lonely, especially when I missed my family, or when I had to go through hardships by myself. And when the trainers would yell at me, asking if I was joking about my pronunciation, it made me feel bad. It was even hard to order things like chicken and pork over the phone!"

To read the rest of the interview, remember to pick up the November issue of Elle!

Recently, TWICE debuted with the single "OOH-AHH!"
