5 SM Entertainment Acts Who Are Long Overdue For Comebacks

2015 has been a great year for K-pop especially for agencies like SM Entertainment. But even while some of the biggest artists at SM Entertainment have made returns to the K-pop scene this year, there's a very popular acts that we'd like to see make comebacks in the near future.

Beat Burger

SM's EDM group, comprised of several SM Entertainment staff members known within the music industry, released their album "Electric Dreams" last September and have been absent from the K-pop scene first. With the popularity of EDM on the rise, it seems like Beat Burger is a bit overdue for something new.

Zhang Liyin

Zhang made her debut in 2006 under SM Entertainment with "Timeless," a duet with then-TVXQ member XIA Junsu, now of JYJ. In 2008, Zhang released "I Will," her first and only full length album, but otherwise she's only released singles. The latest singles, "Agape" and "Not Alone," came out in 2014, but we're still waiting for more of her beautiful voice to make a return to the scene.

Kangta

Formerly a member of what is considered first K-pop male idol group, H.O.T, Kangta is the only remaining member of the group still under SM Entertainment. Kangta's last EP was the 2010 Chinese EP "Breaka Shaka. He's been playing behind the scene at SM Entertainment for several years, but the only thing we've heard of his voice lately was during last year's revival of the project band, S.

TRAX

The remaining two member's left of TRAX, Jay and Jungmo, last came together to release "Blind" in 2011, but prior to that the band had released three EP's and a full length studio album since debuting as a alt pop-rock band in 2004. Both of the members have been active with individual projects, and Jungmo has collaborated with Super Junior's Heechul as part of M&D as recently as April, but it's still not enough.

J-Min

After debuting in Japan in 2007, SM's soloist J-min made her debut in South Korea in 2014 with "Shine" and "Hoo." She was already well known as a soundtrack artist in Korea, with songs appearing on multiple dramas in 2012, including "To The Beautiful You" and "King 2 Hearts." Prior and following her debut, J-min has focused on musicals most recently appeared in Korea's version of "In The Heights."
