Nick Jonas and Demi Lovato are having a joint tour. This tour announcement comes at a great time for Nick Jonas, who has been battling Kate Hudson dating rumors ever since he was spotted with the actress in Disney World after what it seemed a fun night together.

According to People, "Just hours after revealing their tour plans to Elvis Duran, Lovato and Jonas, both 23, hit up New York music venue Irving Plaza Monday night for a surprise show, giving fans a taste of what they can expect on their upcoming Future Now: The Tour."

Demi Lovato tweeted, "Great night with @NickJonas announcing the #FutureNowTour. Thank you New York!"

But announcing the tour with his "best friend", according to People, means that Nick Jonas also gets to leave behind Kate Hudson dating rumors back at home as he tours the country meeting fans and, let's face it, new girls.

But as he is exploring his sexuality onscreen, he might not have a set game plan to the tour that will happen soon. Despite the fact that Nick Jonas has been quite a player, Selena Gomez and Kate Hudson have been extremely supportive of the singer in the recent interviews.

According to Just Jared, "Nick opened up about his character Nate coming to terms with his sexuality this season," showing that straight men can play gay characters with subtlety and ease.

To protect him, Selena Gomez also stepped in to persuade the public that his onscreen sexuality is just art. According to Teen Vogue, Selena Gomez protected her ex Nick Jonas and his open sexuality onscreen. "It's hard to choose what part of this is most problematic: ranking homosexuality, trying to out a celebrity like they've committed a crime, or the general notion that this particular facet of a person's identity should be out for public consumption, but it's hard to be surprised."
