On the October 28, Sidus Entertainment released a statement in regards to the man who stole Lee Yoo Bi's personal cellphone and blackmailed her with threats to release her personal information. The man, hereafter referred to as 'A', has been arrested by police and demanded money in exchange for returning the cell phone.

In the middle of October, 'A' found the cell phone and after realizing it belonged to a famous figure, threatened to sell it to news companies or leak it online if his demands of financial compensation were not met.

The man demanded 20 million won ($17,500 USD), and Lee decided to meet him at a nearby coffee shop, along with another employee of Sidus to make the transaction. After they arrived, the police came out of hiding and arrested 'B,' 'A's accomplice who went in to receive the money. 'A', who was waiting outside, attempted to flee but was soon apprehended by police.

Sidus Entertainment released a statement with the following:

"'A' took the lost cell phone without permission, then used various public phones to continuously make demands and avoid being detected. We have no reason to hide the contents of the cell phone, so we immediately alerted the authorities, who arrested 'A' and brought him in for questioning."

An insider at Sidus also weighed in, stating, "We hope that nobody else will take a cell phone just because the owner is a celebrity. Lee Yoo Bi is most hurt by this, so please refrain from publishing any articles that contain fake information or invade her personal life."
