Big Bang, Hyukoh, A Pink And San E Confirm Performances For The 2015 MelOn Music Awards

The 2015 MelOn Music Awards announced its first lineup for the upcoming star-studded evening.

On November 2, the Korean outlet Xports News confirmed the appearance of powerhouse male group, Big Bang, A Pink, breakout rock act, Hyukoh, and hip-hop sensation San E at the upcoming award program.

According to reports, Big Bang, Hyukoh, A Pink, and San E are invited to the program as artists who are included in the Top 10 of the MelOn Music Awards.

Other acts that were previously announced as placing within the Top 10 category include EXO, Girls' Generation, SHINee, SISTAR, Zion.T, and Yoo Hee Yeol.

A representative for the ceremony weighed in on the significance of the acts who will appear during the program.

"This year, the MelOn Music Awards will have unprecedented brilliant performances, with a lineup of the strongest artists," said a spokesperson for the award show.

Confirmation of Big Bang within the lineup follows reports that the five-member pop group has renewed their exclusive contract with YG Entertainment. Industry insiders speculated that the act would remain with YG and the agency positively addressed the subject of their contract negotiation on November 2.

Hyukoh experienced a meteoric rise to fame in 2015. The pop rock act transitioned from their independent status to sign with the YG sub-label, HIGHGRND, where the group receives guidance from Epik High's Tablo.

The 2015 MelOn Music Awards will be broadcast for international audiences through 1theK's YouTube channel. The ceremony takes place on November 7 at Olympics Gymnastics Stadium at 7 p.m. KST.
