Reese Witherspoon Cancels Appearances on GMA And Jimmy Fallon In The Wake Of Disorderly Conduct Arrest, Husband's DUI

After her shocking arrest with her husband this weekend, Reese Witherspoon has not surprisingly canceled interviews with "Good Morning America" and "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon."

Witherspoon bowed out of the appearances after news broke Sunday that she'd been booked on disorderly conduct charges in Atlanta for allegedly telling a cop, "Do you know my name?" as the officer arrested her husband, Jim Toth, on a DUI charge.

Reese did keep her obligation to attend the New York premiere of her new movie "Mud" at MoMA Cinema Society just hours after news of the dual arrests.

An ashamed Witherspoon walked the red carpet but did not speak to reporters, while hubby Toth sneaked into a side entrance avoiding any further embarrassment.

Witherspoon released a statement Sunday admitting, "I clearly had one drink too many, and I am deeply embarrassed about the things I said. It was definitely a scary situation and I was frightened for my husband, but that is no excuse. I was disrespectful to the officer who was just doing his job. I have nothing but respect for the police and I'm very sorry for my behavior."

Instead of Witherspoon and Eli Manning as the main guests on Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday night, New York Giants quarterback and Nurse Jackie's Adam Ferrara will appear on the show.

A court date in Atlanta set for yesterday for the pair was postponed until May 22 due to schedualing conflicts.

Always the supportive friend, co-star on "Mud," "Matthew McConaughey, covered Reese's duties yesterday appearing on "GMA," "The View" and "Late Show with David Letterman."

The arrest is such an implosive scandal due to the Oscar winner's wholesome, girl next door facade.  It is almost improving her image to her millions of fans, knowing the perfect beauty has faults. This will certainly put a blemish on the "Legally Blond" actress's holier than though resume. Thanks Reese!
