Old school K-pop fans get ready - former first-wave K-pop star and musical actress Bada (Choi Sung Hee) will be releasing a new album next year.

Bada will release her first album in seven years in January of 2016. Fans have been waiting patiently for new music from the singer since her 2009 album See the Sea.

The singer also recently delivered an emotional performance during a Milal Mission benefit concert in Los Angeles on Sept. 19. The concert raised money and help those who are developmentally challenged in North Korea and other developing nations.

Bada is the former lead vocalist of '90s K-pop act S.E.S. When the group disbanded in 2002, Bada forged her own solo career and has also released four albums and a number of original soundtrack songs. She is a frequent star of the stage, having also performed in hit musicals such as Legally Blonde, Carmen, and, most recently, Gone with the Wind.
