Chris Evans and Minka Kelly reignited reunion rumors last September after they went out for a stroll with their dogs. But up to now, the "Friday Night Lights" actress and "Captain America: Civil War" actor have yet to address the rumors about them.

In an interview with "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" though the "Captain America: Civil War" actor was put on the spot by "Avengers" co-star Robert Downey, Jr. about commitment.

"[Evans] had a little bit of doubt coming into the Marvel Universe," Robert Downey, Jr. teased to which Evans replied "It was a big commitment. These contracts are six, nine movies long!"

"He's not a guy that likes to be held down, ladies," Robert Downey, Jr. also said in jest afterwards as quoted by The Wrap.

Although the statement was meant as a joke, this is not the first time that Chris Evans has been purported as someone not yet ready for a serious relationship specifically of settling down even though he has been linked to various women including Minka Kelly. In an interview with People magazine last September, he also hinted about his thoughts on commitment.

"Oh God, I couldn't even think about my own life," the "Captain America: Civil War" told the magazine when asked about settling down.

The admission was a big shift from his statement back in 2014 when the "Captain America: Civil War" actor said he's thinking of marriage at times.

"My 20s was a time for self-exploration and, okay, a little self-indulgence," he admitted to Cosmopolitan UK. "I'm at the point now where I'm ready to take the next step."

Chris Evans has been linked to various actresses in the past months including Sandra Bullock and Lily Collins as reported by Us Weekly. During Labor Day though, rumors surfaced that he might have rekindled his on-again-off-again romance with Minka Kelly as they were pictured walking their dogs together. Neither Evans nor Kelly addressed the reports about them up to now.
