Instagrammers are big fans of K-pop, according to the social media app.

On Thursday, Instagram released its yearly rankings and K-pop came out ahead of every other music genre as the most popular music genre among Instagram users. K-pop stars also were some of the celebrities with the most followers on Instagram.

K-pop beat hip hop, rap, and R&B out for the top spot as the most mentioned music on Instagram in 2015.

Along with music and K-pop stars being extremely popular, several locations in Seoul were also the most tagged place on Instagram.

Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul was the most tagged place on Instagram this year, according to the K-Pop Herald.

In addition, more photos and videos were uploaded on May 5, which is Children's Day in South Korea, than any other day throughout the year.

The top Korean celebrities on Instagram in 2015 were Big Bang's leader G-Dragon, Girls' Generation's leader Taeyeon, and EXO's Chanyeol, Baekhyun, and Sehun.
