It's that time of year again: Christmas lights are up, pine trees are stuffed with decorations, and K-Pop idols are bombarding the charts with yet another rendition of "Santa Baby" or "All I Want For Christmas Is You" (minus the insufferable high octaves that not even Mariah Carey can hit nowadays).

A new album is working its way into K-pop fans' holiday music rotation. 

On Dec. 4, the Girls' Generation project group TaeTiSeo, made up members Taeyeon, Tiffany and Seohyun, released the "Dear Santa" Christmas EP and music video for the lead sigle of the same name through iTunes and SM Entertainment's official YouTube channel respectively.

"Dear Santa" opens this wonderful gift with angelic filled harmonies that immediately set the mood. Slowly fall in love with Taeyeon's voice, but wait... are those sleigh bells jingling in the distance? *Poof* on go the ugly Christmas sweaters. The unexpected change in atmosphere is cute and the girls are definitely having a blast throughout the entire song.

The second track follows "Dear Santa" well with a funky vibe that is sure to get many listeners into their dancing shoes or Santa slippers! "I Like The Way" is a fun track perfect for the holiday season.

TaeTieSeo impress with their soft youthful voices, yet they demonstrate a mature style that comes with years of experience. "Winter Story" slows down the album and sets the path for track four.

"Merry Christmas" puts Taeyeon, Tiffany and Seohyun's harmonies to the test. Their voices come together with what can only be described as candy canes being made (it's sugary in the most perfect way, okay?). The sweetness of the girls' voices will bring diabetes to anyone within a 40 km radius!

Don't worry the album isn't going to end with a ballad! "First Snow" picks up the pace and leaves you with a feel good attitude ready for the holidays.

Dear Santa is a pleasure to listen to from the beginning and a great addition to every K-Pop lover's Christmas song list.
