Katie Holmes had a bit of distraction over the weekend amid the purported news that Tom Cruise planned to fight for custody of their daughter, Suri Cruise. The "All We Had" actress celebrated Jamie Foxx's birthday along with other celebrities.

According to a report on TMZ, the "Django Unchained" actor was surprised by some of his friends with a celebration at Le Bilboquet in New York City. But what caught the attention of most entertainment sites was the attendance of his rumored girlfriend, Holmes.

In the picture, posted on the gossip website, the "All We Had" actress was even seen leaning into someone for a chat. There were no pictures though showing the pair together.

The news of Katie Holmes attendance on Jamie Foxx's weekend party came in the wake of rumors that she purportedly might be facing a custody case with ex-husband Tom Cruise.

As told by Hollywood Life just last week, the "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation" actor apparently wanted to take his daughter and raise her with the teachings of Scientology.

"His ultimate goal is to raise Suri in the Church," an insider told InTouch as cited by the source above. "That freaks Katie out."

It hasn't been confirmed if the Tom Cruise custody case rumors were true. But did the recent Jamie Foxx party help distract the "All We Had" actress from it?

There's no word yet as well how the "All We Had" actress felt about the custody rumors but she did have a smile on her during the "Django Unchained" actor's party as seen on the pictures.
