One positive response from Bieber was from noted by writer Maysoon Zayid who posted on Twitter, “Arab Artists DON’T stop there shows…Go Justin. Bieber Stops Turkey Concert 2 Honor Muslim Prayer Call”

The sold-out concert was held at the Technical University sports arena.

The Huffington Post said that the goodwill Bieber engendered by pausing the show helped offset some of the trouble he and his entourage reportedly got into earlier Thursday at Instanbul’s Sabiha Gökçen Airport. Earlier in the week, ABC News reported that Bieber and his crew did not present their respective travel documents to security officials as they left the airport, forcing security officials to hurry to the curb and to check their papers.
