Psy In Russia, 'Gangnam Style' Star Will Head To Moscow Next Month For Music Awards

Psy is in the midst of international promotions for his new single "Gentleman" and after some time in the US, he is headed to Russia.

Psy released his "Gangnam Style" follow-up, "Gentleman," last month and has been very busy since then promoting it to the world.

A huge live concert in Seoul known as the 'Happening' in front of 50,000 fans (and more than 100,000 who tuned in via YouTube), TV appearances and interviews galore, and now Psy has announced his plans to visit Russia.

According to Psy's agency, YG Entertainment, the rapper is scheduled to attend the Muz-TV music awards in Moscow on June 7.

A short while later, Psy himself confirmed the plans on Twitter, "I am coming to Moscow for the MUZ-TV awards June 7. See you there!" he tweeted to his followers.

Muz-TV is a music TV channel in Russia that has been on air since 1996. They began th annual awards show in 2003 and since then have showcased prominent international guests for the live show.

Generally the stations format focuses on Russian pop music videos, but occasionally, as with the immense popularity of Psy, international music makes its way into the lineup from time to time. On the Muz-TV website, they also have domestic and international charts where users can vote for their favorites.
