Days after airing its first episode on Jan. 25, 2016 through Chinese streaming site iQIYI, Goodnight, Teacher featuring Monsta X has received over 8,000 views and counting.

The group acts alongside Korean actor Lee Dong Gun and Chinese actress Guan Xiao Tong in the digital web-series.

The school-themed comedy/drama revolves around a teacher (Lee) and a student (Guan) who happens to have bad luck everytime they engage with each other. While Monsta X plays themselves as students who are highly admired by everyone at the school.

According to a report by IdolWow!, Starship Entertainment were surprised at the overwhelming response as it was much larger than they had anticipated.

"We are thankful for the heated responses from the viewers in China, which is much more than we expected. Monsta X plans to actively perform in the country in return for the fan's love," Starship Entertainment said according to IdolWow!.

Besides the increase in viewership, Goodnight, Teacher manages to snag the second most talked about topic on the Chinese social media site, Weibo.
