Red Velvet Ramp Up Comeback Preparations With More Individual And Audio Teasers

By Kevin Fox | March 12, 2016 03:40 PM EST

Red Velvet are building up the hype for their upcoming comeback with another round of teasers.

On March 12, SM Entertainment released individual teaser images of Wendy, Seulgi, and Joy, raising anticipation for the 5-member group's next release. A few days earlier, teaser images of members Yeri and Irene were released through the group's official page on SM Entertaniment's website.

In addition to the image teasers, two audio teasers were also uploaded on Red Velvet's Instagram account, along with the song titles.

The first audio teaser is from a song titled "First Time," as evidenced by the video caption. From the teaser, "First Time" is an emotional, flowing ballad that will be included on the album.

The second audio teaser is from a track titled "Light Me Up" and features a slightly peculiar rhythm paired with a more upbeat feel than the previous track.

Since "The Velvet" will be a mini-album, SM could possible release more audio teasers ahead of the full release.

The album was previously announced to be released on March 16. It is titled "The Velvet," and is likely to show a softer, lighter side of the group that was absent from their previous album, "The Red."

Red Velvet's last comeback was in Sept. 2016, nearly six months ago.
