American K-pop artist Jay Park will have one of his songs featured in the closing credits the Korean release of the M. Night Shyamalan film "After Earth," starring Will Smith and his 14-year-old son Jaden Smith.

Will and Jaden Smith made the announcement at a red carpet screening of "After Earth" at the Seoul Times Square Atrium in South Korea on Tuesday, where Jay Park was the guest of honor.

"I don't know if everyone knows--well, they can't know since the movie's not out yet. Jay has the song at the end," Will Smith said, according to the website allkpop.

Already behaving like a seasoned media pro, Smith's 14-year-old son quickly clarified his dad's statement.

"[Jay Park] has the end title song," Jaden Smith said. "He has the end title song at the end of the movie."

A member of the Seattle, Wash. b-boy crew, Art of Movement, Jay Park also performed at the "After Earth" event.

Smith, who is also a producer on the film explained to a reporter what made him pick Park for the closing credits.

"The producer of the film is my brother in law," Smith explained.

"He's my wife's brother. And his wife is Korean. During the process of working on the film, she was suggesting lots of young Korean artists that could be involved with the film. So Jay came up, and now it's at the end credits."

Jay Park, who was born in South Korea, admitted to being a lifelong fan of Smith's.

"This is the first time in my life ever that I've been star struck," Park said. "For real. I've been watching you ever since I was a little kid."

The American K-pop star also had strong praise for Smith's son.

"I've been seeing your stuff too, your rap stuff," Park told Jaden Smith. "Thank you so much for coming and blessing us with your presence."

Jay Park's current single "Joah" is currently in its third week in the Billboard K-pop top 20.

Scheduled for release in U.S. IMAX theaters on May 31, "After Earth" stars Will and Jaden Smith as a father and son stranded on earth in an apocalyptic future.

"A crash landing leaves Kitai Raige and his father Cypher stranded on Earth, 1,000 years after events forced humanity's escape," reads a description on the website IMDb. "With Cypher injured, Kitai must embark on a perilous journey to signal for help."
