The movie ''Geostorm'' is all set to be released on Jan. 13, 2017. This science fiction action film will be directed by Dean Devlin and will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.

New Orleans, Louisiana, USA was the location which was chosen to start the principal photography which began on Oct. 20, 2014. IMDb teased about the plot. ''As a man heads into space to prevent climate-controlling satellites from creating a storm of epic proportions, his brother discovers a plot to assassinate the president'' is what they mentioned.

Dean Devlin will produce the film along with David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Rachel Olschan and Marc Roskin. Since this story requires the sets to have space stations, some scenes were filmed at the NASA Facility in New Orleans. They had come up with an ad to hire supporting cast for the filming of ''Geostorm'' in NASA. The filming happened between Nov. 2014 and Jan. 2015 inside the  NASA Facility in New Orleans. This movie was originally scheduled to be released on Mar. 25, 2016, however, The Wrap confirmed that the date was pushed as Warner Bros. wanted to release  ''Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice'' first. Variety did an exclusive story on this.
