After YG Entertainment confirmed that 2NE1 member Minzy will be leaving the group after she decided not to renew her contract, fans have been quick to offer their full support for the idol.

Leaving messages on her Instagram account, fans encouraged her to stay strong and wished her luck as she looks for a new agency and pursues solo activities. Many also could not help but reminisce about her time in 2NE1, growing from a rookie foursome into one of the most popular K-pop girl groups of all time.

"Minzy hope you will be fine and successful in the future even if you do not belong to 2NE1," "I'm going to miss you but good luck!" "We will support you all the way! Fighting!" "Do what you have to do! Do what is best for you!"

Alongside the torrent of support for Minzy were pleas from fans for her to reconsider her decision.

"Please don't go!" "Baby come back home" "2NE1 can't live without you," said mournful fans.

Since the news of Minzy's departure broke, there has been no official statement from Minzy to her fans to air her side of the story. This has led to a wild array of speculation as to why she chose not to renew her contract and join the rest of 2NE1, which will be mounting a comeback but only as three members with CL, Dara and Bom. Some fans blame YG Entertainment for "treating her terribly" and not focusing on her solo activities enough.
