The Nick Lachey - Jessica Simpson tandem used to be reality television stars on MTV's, "The Newlyweds," but the former boy band star, Lachey, says they haven't spoken in 6 years.

Nick Lachey and his former 98 degrees group members were all on Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live show taping the "Plead the Fifth" segment when Jessica Simpson was brought up by the host.

The "Plead the Fifth" is a question and answer game Cohen plays with his celebrity guests, with the option for a celebrity to "plead the fifth," if Cohen brings up an uncomfortable topic.

Jessica Simpson's father, Joe Simpson, was brought up, and Nick Lachey looked mighty uncomfortable before his brother jumped in.

Cohen asked, "What is the best thing about no longer having Joe Simpson as a father-in-law?"

That's when Nick Lachey's brother, Drew, jumped in and said "Everything!"

But Nick countered with, "What is the best thing about not having Joe Simpson as a father-in-law ... I don't have to play grab a-- under the table on Easter Sunday."

After the tongue-in-cheek statement, Cohen said, "I'm blushing right now" and "That's very funny," before Nick Lachey responded "It may not be tomorrow, but it is tonight."

The Nick Lachey - Jessica Simpson union isn't anymore, but Nick Lachey continued to talk about his ex-wife Jessica Simpson, after Cohen asked if he ever watches their famous reality television show together: Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica.

"Wow. Is this the part where I can plead the Fifth? It's been years [since I've talked to Jessica]. Years. Honestly, probably six years," Lachey said. "It was like another lifetime ago.

"I have not. As you can imagine, that's not popular viewing in my house. We don't sit around as a family and watch the old DVDs."

The Nick Lachey - Jessica Simpson pair used to dominate the airwaves after Newlyweds premiered on MTV in August of 2003. But the Nick Lachey Jessica Simpson wedding and happily ever after came to an end when they divorced in 2005 after three years together.
