Fans Prove Their Dedication and Love at Dean's First Ever New York Show

They could be patient but they can hardly wait. As cliché as the last sentence sounds as it refers to "Put My Hands On You," that's how many concert goers felt on the day of Jun. 4 when uprising R&B singer Dean held his first ever New York City show.

As fans gathered at the Copacabana on W. 47th and 8th with the forecasts stating thunderstorms, attendees were let in early while VIP ticketholders were able to wait inside too for their meet and greet.

Once the clock struck six o'clock, the VIP room roared of screams as Dean's team came out and introduced the 23-year-old singer up to the front of the room. In a matter 20-30 minutes, a room of at least 200 fans zipped through the hi-touch and picture-taking with the singer and emptied out the room.

However, as the meet and greeters were exiting the VIP room, the general admission ticketholders were heading out to the door. It was then that word spread that the venue has changed within an hour of the show's initial start due to sound and technical difficulties.

From the Copacabana to Chelsea's Flash Factory, fans flocked together (with some even running) 20 blocks down in the pouring rain, waiting for the love of Dean.

Arriving at the new venue, the mix of emotions ran high as furious, confused and irritated fans stood in the rain. But that didn't stop them from waiting and sharing the experience with others. Fans shared umbrellas, hid under coats, while concert organizers SIVA Group passed out garbage bags and cardboard pieces to shield them through the rain. In the end, the effort to get through the concertgoer struggle was achieved by how well everyone worked together.

Doors opened a little after eight, and Flash Factory's Grand Central-like venue opened its doors and floors and was soon closed in with hundreds of dedicated fans.

SIVA Group artist and Show Me The Money finalist Milan opened up the show with three songs followed by Joombas Music Group's very own Cheech Bundy throwing it back with real old school hip-hop transitioning into the modern day trap vibes.

It was only a matter of time until the man of the night took the stage in bright lights.

Young rebel Dean came out with white lights aiming at him while DJ Prince turned up the backtrack to his Anderson.Paak-featured hit "Put My Hands On You."

The crowd was lit. Literally. Phones sprung up as fans snapped, recorded photos and videos of the Korean R&B crooner as he busted out some moves throughout his one hour set singing all the tracks off his 130 mood : TRBL EP.

Dabbing to his recent hit "bonnie & clyde" Flash Factory was turnt as tracks like "Pour Up", "what2do" "half moon (D)," and "21" followed up.

Exiting the stage after performing his U.S. debut song "I'm Not Sorry" the room chanted for an encore to which Dean came back out to perform "I Love It."

Apologizing and thanking the fans for their support and patience, Dean and his team stayed for a bit to do a few more meet and greets with VIP ticketholders. Lucky fans who waited for the singer outside of the venue were also handed signed posters from the concert organizers.

It is safe to say that after everything - the fans, the production team, concert organizers and Dean himself - everything was dealt in the most professional manner as much as possible last minute.

While the buzz of Dean's first New York show still spark up conversation, it is only a matter of time to when his next show will be.
