Approaching the final episode“Moon Lover: Scarlet Heart Ryeo” the drama viewer’s rating has improved. Lee Joon-Ki also send invitation for his fans to a gathering to watch the final episode of the drama.

The drama which is also known as “Scarlet Heart Ryeo” has improved its rating since the episode 15. However, it still fluctuated because the next episode dropped significantly while the episode 17 continue to increase.

Therefore, to boost the rating, Lee, who played the 4th prince Wang-So who is currently crowned as king of Goryeo invited his fans to an event to watch the drama final episode on Nov. 1 as reported by Yonhap News Agency. The event is announced by his agency Namoo Actors and to be held at Lotte World Tower Cinema at Songpa-gu district Seoul.

“Scarlet Heart Ryeo” has experienced a significant lost in viewership rating in Korea, but it gained huge international viewers, particularly in China. Last September, the drama has reached 1 billion viewers in China as reported by Soompi. The drama is an adaptation of Chinese novel written by Tong Hua in 2005 titled “Scarlet Heart.”

The drama had a tough competition in the Monday and Tuesday rating since its beginning. At first, it had to compete with KBS period drama “Moonlight Drawn By Clouds.” After the KBS drama ended, the MBC romantic comedy drama “Woman with A Suitcase” become his competitor.

Many Korean people who have read the novel disapproved of the writer approach to focus on the love triangle between Hae Soo, prince Wang So and prince Wang Wook. While the story’s focus in on the political intrigue and power play between them.

After the drama return to its original plot starting from episode 15, the viewer’s rating in Korea began to improve to gain 11 percent. But it dropped to 9 percent at the episode 19 in both Nielsen Korea and TnMS, it ranked at 9th place in Nielsen, while in TnMS, the drama is at 15th position with. In order to boost its rating in Korea, Lee invited his fans to watch the final episode 20 of the drama together.
