MBC releases cute images of Kyung Soo-Jin with Nam Joo-Hyuk from ‘Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo’
Kyung Soo-Jin and Nam Joo-Hyuk are the main role in the new promotional image of the MBC drama “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo.” The picture is released this week to promote the third and fourth episodes, which will air this week.
Prior to the airing of this week’s episode, MBC released a new promotional image depicting Kyung and Nam in their past relationship which to be unfold in the “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo” Episode 3. One picture showed Nam put his arm around Kyung and they stare at each other. While another one showed they were having fun, including one in the department store as shown below:
Kyung is cast as Shi-Ho, a rhythmic gymnast who became the Asian Games gold medalist when she was 18-year old. She was in relationship with a swimmer Joon-Hyung (Nam). However, her ambition had made their relationship fail.
After she failed to made the 2017 Korean national team, Shi-Ho returned to her campus, Haneul Sport University. She is now a room mate of the female weighlifter Kim Bok-Jo, played by the adorable Lee Sung-Kyung. Bok-Joo will become the love interest of Joon-Hyung, her former boyfriend.
“Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo” offers a fresh setting and characters in Korean drama. Usually, the lead female character in the drama is a slender and beautiful lady. But in this one, Kim Book-Jo is a weightlifter who loves to eat to gain energy.
However, the drama has not performed well in its last week premiere. The first and second episodes were unable to claim sufficient viewers to get into the Top 20 position in both AGB Nielsen and TnMS ratings. “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo” faced a fierce competition from SBS high rated drama “Legend of the Blue Sea.”
