YG fans were truly disappointed when the entertainment company had announced that none of their artists would be participating in the recently concluded Mnet Asian Music Awards 2016. Being true to their word, YG artists really did not make an appearance in MAMA 2016.

YG Entertainment credited their artists' busy schedules as the reason for their absence. Luckily for the fans, that was just a temporary thing for YG and as such won't be happening in the upcoming "2016 SBS Gayo Daejun."

Apparently, BLACKPINK, Sechs Kies and BIGBANG's schedules aren't all that tight anymore as their attendance in the 2016 SBS Gayo Daejun had just been confirmed, Allkpop reports. While the MAMA 2016 still went on as usual, most fans can't help but feel that the event was kind of lackluster since several of YG Entertainment's artists were a no-show. Thankfully, YG stans out there have something to look forward to in the Gayo Daejun.

According to a report published by Soompi, YG themselves have issued a statement on December 5 confirming their attendance at the said event.

BLACKPINK who all had debuted this year and had just recently made a comeback is currently one of the hottest k-pop groups right now and while they may be absent from the MAMA 2016, that didn't stop them from bagging two awards: best music video and best of next artist.

Sechs Kies and BIGBANG, two of YG's oldest artists, are both geared up for a December comeback. But out of the two, you can say that the spotlight is definitely on BIGBANG seeing as this may be their last comeback before they begin each of their own military service. BIGBANG's rapper T.O.P is scheduled to join the military early next year. So their appearance on the Gayo Daejun is definitely something to watch out for.

The SBS Gayo Daejun is an annual year-end music event broadcast by Seoul Broadcasting System and will be taking place from December 22 until 26.
